FOOD PANTRY & WISH LIST

Despite their sacrifices, Since 2011, 27% of veterans have struggled to provide food and worry each week about putting food on the table for their families.

Research consistently shows that military families have been quietly struggling with food insecurity:

  • In 2019, 1 in 8 of our national survey respondents was experiencing food insecurity.

  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that number rose to 1 in 5 in some parts of the country, such as Washington state.

  • Research released in 2022 showed that 1 in 6 military and veteran families were experiencing food insecurity.

To combat veteran food insecurity, Connect-Vets offers a food delivery/shipping service for veterans and their families. We also provide gift cards to grocery stores.

Please note that proof of military service is required (including a DD214, military ID, VA ID, etc.),
